Why I Created This Stream Direct Review Blog

I wrote this review for others who, like me, might be considering Stream Direct TV but aren’t sure whether it’s worth it or not.  There seemed to be a lot of hype surrounding Stream Direct but not much information from people who have actually tried the product themselves.  So, after giving it a shot, I figured I would write my own review and I hope you find it helpful.

Stream Direct Review – Why I Tried It.

My reasons for taking a look at Stream Direct TV were pretty simple.  I was paying too much every month for cable and I didn’t feel like I was getting good value in return. So I started looking into options.  At first, I considered actual satellite TV but I didn’t want the cost of the hardware and, just like cable, I still would have been paying a hundred dollars or more per month for programming.  Because of this, I started to search for other options and came across an ad for  Stream Direct.

I had my concerns about whether it would work but it was only around $50 so I went for it.  And, for me, it turned out to be the right decision.  Here are the reasons that I liked it:

1.  Good variety of channels – Their site advertises 4500 stations.  I didn’t count them all but that seems about right.  There are more stations than I could ever have time to watch.

2.  Picture – Just like my HD cable, the picture is crystal clear and high resolution.  I run it right from my computer into my hi-def TV and it looks great.

3. Sound – The sound is advertised as being “digital”.  I’m not an audio expert so there is no way for me to verify that claim.  However, it does sound just as good as my old HD cable system and surround sound unit so I’m willing to take their word for it.  Anyway, the sound is excellent.

4.  On screen navigation – Took me a while to figure out how to use the on screen channel guide but no problems getting around the menu and navigating the channels once I did.

5. Cost – no ongoing monthly bills.  I think I paid just short of $50 for the software and that’s for unlimited access without any ongoing fees.  This is, by far, the biggest feature for me personally.

6.  No equipment needed – you DO need a regular high speed internet connection (not dial-up) and a PC, laptop or Mac but you don’t need anything else.  No dish or receiver necessary.

On top of all of that, the download and installation was very simple which I appreciated.

Conclusion – Stream Direct Review

So far, I haven’t had any problems with Stream Direct and I’m really happy with the selection and the huge cost savings.  Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering checking it out.
